Jerry Granger-Taylor (?-?)

Granger-Taylor (Cay Friemuth book).jpg

This name is included on a list of Monuments Women compiled by Capt. Edith A. Standen during her service in postwar Germany.

Currently, the Foundation believes this individual to be Godfrey Bridden “Jerry” Granger-Taylor (1917-?), an artist and architect trained at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and St. John’s College, Cambridge University. He served during World War II with the Corps of Royal Engineers before possible becoming a British Monuments Officer. Granger-Taylor was named an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1949.

The Foundation is very interested in confirming that Godfrey Bridden Granger-Taylor is indeed the Monuments Man referenced to on Edith Standen’s list. If you have any information, please contact
